Stay or go?
Sometimes, you just don’t know anymore. You feel unhappy at work, but you’re not sure what to do about it. Maybe you hope things will improve on their own. Or you react strongly to the situation, and feel stuck in a cycle of frustration and uncertainty. You wonder: should I accept things as they are, or should I leave?
You browse job openings, but nothing feels quite right. You talk to friends, but their well-meant advice only makes things more confusing. You keep going over it in your head. Maybe you even lose sleep, or scroll through job websites at night – without finding any clarity.
That doubt can be incredibly paralyzing. You think about it constantly, but you’re not getting anywhere.
Why it’s so difficult
That stuck feeling often comes from not being able to thrive in your current role. It might be that:
You want more responsibility, but you feel stuck in your current role.
Your tasks have become monotonous, and you crave more challenge.
You feel like your strengths are overlooked, or you’re not being seen.
You don’t get along with your manager, or you feel restricted by them.
You carry a lot of responsibility, but get little support from colleagues.
The workload is simply too high.
The values of the company no longer align with what matters to you.
Whatever the reason, something doesn’t feel right. And still, leaving might not feel like a real option. You might…
have no idea what you’d want to do instead
doubt whether things would be better anywhere else
earn a good salary now and not be sure if you could find that again
So you stay – but things continue to wear you down.
When you're stuck between hope and doubt
It can feel oddly comfortable to keep one foot out the door. You stop putting in effort, because you think: what’s the point? And you don’t have to take the scary leap toward something new. But the in-between is rarely a good place to be. You’re not fully part of your current job, and you don’t have a clear sense of direction either. It’s exhausting.
What coaching can do
Coaching helps you unravel the mess of thoughts, feelings and options. It helps you understand what’s really going on. Sometimes, just understanding the root of your unhappiness is enough to start feeling better.
It also helps you see what you can and can’t influence. What matters to you. What options you may have overlooked.
You don’t have to make any drastic decisions right away. Sometimes, change starts with how you look at things. How you communicate. What actions you take. Small steps can make a big difference – and coaching helps you see them.
You don’t have to figure it out alone
You don’t have to solve this all by yourself. Coaching can help you find clarity, gain peace of mind, and choose your next step with confidence.
